What’s Next?

As mentioned before, I will be starting my placement year starting in June 2015. I have completed my second year at Sussex University and I am about to venture into the world of work. I have already got a lot of experience with various projects and organisations, however I am really excited for the projects I am going to be involved in over the next year.

beta futures logodesignOn 15th June 2015, I will be starting with “Beta Futures” for 10 weeks as a Marketing and PR Assistant Intern.

Beta Futures is a Social Enterprise that focusses on assisting businesses with funding applications, recruitment, training, resourcing and much more. Moreover, they also founded the “50+ Skills Exchange Club”, this project offers the opportunity for people to come together, socialise and learn new skills. It also supports individuals who are wishing to get back into work or pursue volunteering opportunities in the local community. The club is run in Crawley, Redhill and is hoping to launch in Horsham by 2016. If you want to learn more click here.

After a sunny holiday, I will be starting with The Future Perfect Company in September 2015 as a Project Development and Marketing Assistant.

This role will involve a really diverse range of work including the growth of the Designing for the Future project, business plan development for DFF members, events, Out Reach Programmes and much more. To learn more about The Future Perfect Company click here.

My hope for this year is to gain as much experience and learn as many new skills as possible. I also want to really figure out the types of jobs I will be applying for when I graduate in 2017. I am sure the year will fly by, so I will try my best to enjoy it and get the most out of it.

Wish me luck and I’ll keep you posted!

I am always interested in getting involved with interesting new projects, so don’t hesitate to get in touch: mollyaw@hotmail.co.uk  //  @maldrichwincer.
